Dental Level 1 Restrictions- What does that mean?

The Australian Dental Association along with the Dental Board have eased dental restrictions to level 1. This means that ALL dental treatment are now given the green light to go ahead. Treatment is only deferred for individuals who are tested positive to Covid-19 or who have close contact with someone who has tested positive.

This comes as a relief from weeks of level 2 and 3 dental restrictions. The ADA has allowed aerosol producing treatments such as cleans, fillings, veneers, surgical extractions and many more. We have resumed our normal working hours of 8am-6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on a Saturday. We have special allocated emergency spots for same day appointments.

Our clinic in Bentleigh East are ready for you! Rest assured that despite moving to level 1 we still take our screening and infection control procedures seriously. You will be asked about your travel history in the last 2 weeks, your exposure to confirmed Covid-19 cases and if you have any cold or flu like symptoms. When you arrive for your appointment you will be required to sanitise your hands and to have your temperature taken with our no touch thermometer. The temperature of our dentist and staff are also checked 2-3 times a day. You will be required to rinse for 1 minute using our mouth rinse prior to any treatment. Our teams are also split into team A and team B to further protect our patients and team members.

You can book your appointments online or by calling (03) 9570 7962. We are also providing free tele-dentistry for those who are unable to come in. Just simply email us or send us a photo at chestervilledental@gmail.com  and we will get back to you shortly.

We are all in this together!
